New Wooden Covers for Photo Albums

Elegant & natural- the newest covers for our Photo Albums, now designed with a wooden finish.
 

Wooden covers are something we are proud to introduce.
We've created wood bindings that don't give off a bulky appearance, and that easily impress with their beautiful wood tones & careful finish. We've selected oak as the wood of choice for our covers - hand crafted in our own carpentry shop, where the pieces are sanded and oiled. Thanks to this prep work and care, they made to last. As no two pieces of wood are identical, each cover will be unique, albeit with the same size, structure and pattern - and that's what makes natural accessories beautiful.

Wooden covers can be ordered with leatherettes, textiles, and velvets on three of our most popular Photo Album dimensions:

• 30x30cm / 12x12"
• 25x25cm / 10x10"
• 20x20cm / 8x8"

Depending on the material you choose, the wooden cover's appearance will vary.

• Corners and wooden inserts will be rounded if a leatherette or velvet material is selected.
   
• Corners and wooden inserts will come standard if a textile material is chosen.

Almost everything else will remain the same for a Photo Album with this finish, including:

• Photo Album paper types 
• The cover materials available (except the A25 material)
• The option to choose thickened spreads
• New cover designs are available, and can be designed in the nDesigner. You'll be pleased with the large selection of cover designs available for this finish, as we've prepared a whole new collection of them for this purpose.
• These designs will be exclusive to the wooden finish.
   

Since wood can be a demanding material to work with, we had to introduce several restrictions:
 

• The option to add padding to the cover will be partially blocked- padding in the front will always be available, however you won’t be able to add it to the back.
• Laser etching is the only cover design technology available, and it will only be available on the wooden parts of the cover.
• Since wood is a natural substrate with its own unique texture, laser etch colours will be different, sometimes even in the same design! In some cases they will come out lighter, and darker in others, and this should be regarded as a normal effect.
• Some cover designs (such as those available for the Accordion Mini Book) cannot be edited. Others have closed elements and open text boxes where you can enter custom text. Ultimately, we wish to give you the ability to move some of the elements of a design around freely - or even remove the parts you don't like.
• Fully custom cover designs will not be available at this time.
   

We recommend packaging the Photo Album in a handmade box created from the same cover material. However, we would like to point out that the wooden insert on the box will not be identical to the insert on the Photo Album. You can also match an Eco Gift Box to the Photo Album.
 

Photo Albums with wooden covers would be a perfect fit for boho and vintage photo sessions. Romantic, wedding, family, and outdoor photography will also gain much from this finish. We have no doubt that these wooden covers will greatly compliment Christmas session offers too. Picture the wood with red, white, and green velvet materials; the finish would make for a beautiful combination. What’s more, we're happy to inform you that the wooden cover release is taking place right now, in preparation for the holiday season. You’ll have plenty of time to give the product a try and show it to potential clients who'll be quick to fall in love with the finish.
